We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church is no exception. We want to make your first experience at Burks a great one!

Burks United Methodist meets every Sunday morning at 10am in the Sanctuary for worship.

A service at Burks is about an hour long. Services begin with Burks Choir or Praise Team leading music. Song lyrics are projected onto screens so you can sing along and engage in worship however you are comfortable. Interspersed in the music is time to greet one another, and scriptures are read. After the scripture and music portion of the service, our pastor will share the word of God in an engaging, thoughtful sermon.

When you arrive at Burks UMC, you will find cheerful folks ready to greet you or share an umbrella in the parking lot when needed. Visitor spaces are at the main entrance. Feel free to use them or park anywhere. 

You will see folks at Burks worship service dressed in everything from jeans to a suit and tie or dresses. Come as you are comfortable worshipping. Burks UMC is an exciting, mission-minded community of faith. It is the hope of everyone at Burks that you find your place in this church family and come to know the hope of Christ for the first time or in an even more meaningful way.

We have a nursery that hosts infants from 2 months to age 4. During worship, children are welcome to sit with their families or in the designated "Grace Space" at the front of the Sanctuary. Learn more about Grace Space at burks.org/jam. Children's Sunday School is after the children's sermon for children ages 4 through 5th grade.
